Vision and Mission

The Society of Jesus (SJ), a Roman Catholic order of priests founded by St. Ignatius of Loyola, embraces a rich tradition uniting spiritual depth and scholarly rigor. Ignatius, drawing inspiration from the transformative power of education, envisioned a pathway to connect individuals with the divine while actively engaging in the world. This legacy shaped the Jesuit dedication to intellectual development and societal progress.

Throughout history, the Society of Jesus gained prominence for its influential educational institutions. This commitment extends to India, where Jesuit schools and colleges provide inclusive, transformative learning environments for diverse student populations.

Jesuit education, inspired by the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, cultivates young people who are intellectually curious, spiritually grounded, and ready to lead lives of compassionate service, particularly towards marginalized communities. The following principles guide this vision:

People for Others: Nurturing a spirit of selfless contribution to the betterment of society. Care of the Whole Person (cura personalis): Recognizing the inherent worth and fostering the holistic development of each student. Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam (AMDG): Finding purpose in actions, both large and small, that advance a more just and equitable world. Magis: Encouraging a continuous pursuit of excellence as a catalyst for personal and collective growth.
